I choose to dismiss the lying terrorists' stories and believe our official accounts of the compound attack.

Too bad the woman who lost both of her kids lying and rotting in fresh graves was such a "lying terrorist." Too bad the reporters from England and elsewhere were such "lying terrorists." Too bad they didn't have all the good information our military had so they could give "official accounts."

Do you actually believe that your "true believer" acceptance of anything you're told by "officials," no matter how contrary it is to our understanding of human nature and common sense, constitutes critical thinking?

Where were you when so many of us were saying that the Iraqi occupation was going to result in an insurgency? Where were you when so many of us were saying that we couldn't effectively use overwhelming military force to "have our way" in post-invasion Iraq? Where were you when so many of us were saying that Iraq was a third rate military power that posed no real significant threat to anyone beyond its borders? Where were you when so many of us were saying that the cultural differences between Iraq and the western world created huge barriers to the "democratization" of Iraq into a western friendly nation? Where were you when so many of us understood that the "sing like a canary" Iraqis and terrorists were being tortured in contravention of most civilized protocols?

Many of us have shown an ability and a willingness to think critically and to question the "official" dogma and pronouncements.

Let's see just ONE instance when you've questioned what you're officially told and have come up with a rational, logical and well articulated response.

JUST ONE.

C'mon Bill, there must be just one tiny, teeny, example of critical thinking on your part.

None?

How about one time when you said you weren't sure about the "official accounts?" Even if you didn't articulate a rational, logical basis for your (is this heresy) questioning?

Can you even show that Bill?

I'm clearly wasting my time talking to you. You are right "because you're right." That's an empty well of thought; or is it non-thought.
