Yes, you are right, it WAS your error, when you wrote, and confirmed, that you had it on good authority that there was no such person as Jimmy Massey, and it was your mistake to assert with such certainty when I asked that Yes, you meant that there was no such person as Massey.
You were wrong, and your friend was wrong.
And you have no information to indicate that Massey's story is a hoax, any more than you did that Massey's existence was a hoax.
And you were extremely gullible when your friend told you that Massey was a hoax, and since then have shown an abysmal lack of critical thinking skills.
Again: You were wrong in what you said.
Now you are saying another thing for which you have no evidence, that that 12 year marine has committed a hoax, that is, "an act intended to deceive or trick."
