In fact, then, you're not really doing your video capture (digitization) on the Windows machine at all -- you're just transferring an already digitized image over the firewire. That may be what I need to do, too. I don't think Windows is up to the job. I've got a copy of Linux loading in the next room; I'll experiment with it for a while first. JMHO. Charles Tutt (SM)
