The kids don't believe they can die. I posted a great account on the "Marine" thread by a Army NCO of the April 9th firefight a supply convoy of Gas tankers got into in Baghdad. He had a 7 and 10 year old firing at him with AK47s. He fired over their heads to run them off. Later, they were firing at him again and he shot and killed the 7 year old. The 10 year old kept firing.

BTW, I am sure that if the fact that the 7 year old was killed had ever been reported, it would have been as an "innocent victim."
