How could the nets justify televising it when they've dropped even the pretense of being anything but an 3 day unpaid political ad?

I recall reading not to long ago a big fuss because they are planning on televising almost nothing of the conventions. Barely the acceptance speeches, which, in the case of the Dems may not occur until a month later. <g>
