Except for South Korea -- somehow a relic of the Cold War -- the active involvement by US troops is nowhere to be found...
Gustave!
Do you mean to tell me that with your hyperactive imagination, and apparently unerring ability to tie seemingly dissociated facts together...you can't construct a conspiracy theory marrying the U.S. having a troop presence in Korea with the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians...or some related group/phenomenon?
Something, perhaps, characterizing the American troops that remain on the peninsula as related by some secret plot with the Chinese persecution of Uighur Muslims in the province of Xinjiang?
I'm greatly disappointed. That disappointment, however, is assuaged by this ensuing portion of your statement,
...the active involvement by US troops is nowhere to be found[.]
Excellent. That statement is in keeping with the highest tradition of the Silicon Investor conspiracy theorists' code: offering a completely laughable, and eminently refutable, conjecture. In fact, the U.S. has, and has had, various special operations troops and other such units on every continent acting in numerous capacities.
Review, at your leisure. I've provided links covering the last five (or so) years; deployments before, and after, the terrorist attacks on September 11th.
