I didn't say the treatment was great, it certainly was abusive, but it normally takes more than that to qualify as "torture" - except when the word is being redefined and expanded to make the US look bad. This is similar to the deal about the dead contractors in Fallujah who were derided as "mercenaries" to make it look more like they had it coming. There is a persistent effort to redefine English words in the service of the enemies of the US effort.
