Hello CB, your point is well taken.
Thank you, I thought so, too. Of course it's not my own ideas, it's stuff we've all figured out over millenia, and it's part of what we like to call Western Civilization.
after your enemies roll a nuke up 5th Ave we are going to see far more violence done by you than could ever be contemplated in the Iraq venture
No doubt, brother, no doubt.
If so, I might just have a few dozen people with turbans hiding out in the rec room, if it comes to that, but don't tell anybody. Preferably some women who will teach me how to cook rice with barberries and saffron so all the grains are separate and distinct and sort of curved.
As for what's going to happen in Iraq -- there have been people living there for as long as there has been recorded history, and before. Much of that Western Culture originated in Iraq and the plains of Northern Iraq. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq. So were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The Sumerians, the Akkadians, the Assyrians. The first recorded non-precious money - clay versions of Bills of Exchange. The Code of Hammurabi, the earliest legal code.
The Israelis were held captive in Iraq when it was known as Babylon. It was the Babylonians who destroyed the First Temple.
It was the Assyrians who built the Tower of Babel.
As some say, they were civilized when our ancestors were painting themselves blue.
Are we ahead of them today? Sure.
Who will be ahead of us tomorrow? China? Maybe. Nobody stays ahead forever. |
