It seems to me that is no longer on the list of reasons the administration gives for invading and occupying Iraq.

That reason was abandoned when the chief US weapons inspector, David Kay, finally and very reluctantly, concluded there we no stock piles of weapons. And Colin Powell, two weeks ago, admitted that the allegations made by him on behalf of the US in the UNSC were based on "deliberately false intelligence".

So I'm wondering why you cling to this notion even though it has been disowned by the people who originated it.

Your answer is very important. It is the key to understanding how this administration still receives 42% approval. I am wondering if these 42% are just beyond reach of facts and logic. Or whether more facts will finally persuade them they are following a leader who was easily duped.
