Nadine. 2 questions
1. Is israel/egypt renegotiation and the subsequent egyptian control of the border area thus denying the palestinians the tunnels even remotely possible, given internal egyptian politics?

2. Can Israel realistically control that border without great losses if egypt is not willing?

3. If the answer to #2 is no, can israel defend israel from israeli territory, given the weapons smuggling without reinvading the area every so often? I dont think reinvasion is a viable policy given that israel will be pilloried each time it trys to defend itself this way. Is there another way?
