Just yesterday Saudi Arabia offered to raise production by 2 million barrels and Opec shot it down.

The average Opec member hates Bush. The sort of values espoused by the American right wing are a purely American phenomenon. The rest of the world shakes their head when it comes to American politics. The invasion of Iraq has deepened resentment towards the US in the Middle East.

As per their agreement when Bush invaded Iraq the Saudis alone (Bin Laden - Bush connection) are now willing to raise production - but they could have done that all along.
