This war would have went off without a hitch if a million troops had been used instead of 130,000. But back in early 1990s the decision was made to obtain a piece dividend from the Cold War and Army Active division were limited to 10. Some wanted only 8 divisions--thats 80,000 operators. The Soviets used 1,000,000 men to take Berlin against civilians, old men and kids with panzerfausts and crude weapons...and the Soviets lost 100,000 killed. Iraq had the potential for a complete disaster. RPG-7s are the descendants of the panzerfaust. The RPG isn't a grenade at all..its an anti-tank weapon and it will penetrate the armor of the M-1 Abrams within a couple hundred meters. An RPG 7 will penetrate over 160mm of homegeoneous steel armor. Such a weapon in WWII as a shaped charge would have taken out the heaviest German armor seen on the battlefield including the King Tiger (Tiger II), and Elephant tanks.
