Hell, Europe embraced Hitler. The south Pacific wouldn't do anything about Tojo. Yeah, why should we care. We could have saved many lives if we would have stayed out of WWII. We only lost 2400 in Pearl Harbor. How in the world did that justify losing 100x that number just to give Germany back to it's people?

The flaw I see in your thinking about Iraq is, how would you define "Iraqis"? I would say the majority are unarmed and are just trying to make a living and support their families. The minority with the motivation and the weapons will be deciding Iraq's future. So, just pull out and let Mudbug-Sadr take over the country with his 5000 armed 72 virgin lovers?

Nah, I imagine Turkey and Iran and Syria and Saudi Arabia would like the opportunity to explain to Mudbug-Sadr if we leave. We cannot leave until there is a strong enough, committed Iraqi force capable of handling Mudbug-Sadr and any other idiot who has a few RPGs buried in his back yard.
