Some shocking news. Liberal bias in the media!!!! Who woulda thought... It could be even more than the numbers show, since "moderate" is a purely self-defined term. The same set of people might describe themselves as "moderate" in a newsroom, but "liberal" amid the more-conservative general public. I know that when I moved from Florida to Massachusetts, my political views (and my description of them) changed from liberal to conservative without having altered. Two questions I'd love to see added to the questionaire: Have you ever voted for a Democrat for President? Have you ever voted for a Republican for President? The percentage of straight ticket voters is an external measure whose definition cannot alter between the newsroom and the public.
