There are plenty of people who would blame bush. Americans are no smarter than spaniards and when your enemy says you are being attacked (again) because you went to war in iraq and most of the world agrees with that assessment it is not a stretch at all for americans to believe the same. The other thing i fear is blaming israel, neocon jews and by extension all jews for the entire thing including 9/11. Read some of the anti-semite rants on other SI threads to get a feel for what the future argument could be. In the end, the US needs arab oil and an end to terroristm more than support for a little democracy. Thats the logic behind such a view that may attain some respectablty if our polices continue to fail. Scapegoats and blame game is what wiped out europes jews. I never can forget that fact and it concerns me here and now. Just read some of the bilge on the other threads and you will know what i mean. Mike
