Even in places like China, the accused get a pretend lawyer and a show trial in front of a kangaroo court. These guys didn't even get that.

I don't believe that's the case with terrorists in Xinxang province..

The leaders might receive a show trial, but the "soldiers" who followed them probably receive summary execution of sentence on the spot.

And yes.. I'm familar with the star chamber concept.

But I also know that it pertains only to actions taken against citizens of the state, not against foreign aggressors who have no imherent right to the protections US citizens enjoy.

In sum, I perceive we have a vested interest in detaining foreign terrorists until they have chosen to cooperate to the point that they can be deemed no longer a threat to our national security.

Need I remind you that these people are not just trying to wage war against us, but they are completely ignoring all tenets of international law in how they are doing so.

They do not acknowledge the Geneva convention, nor do they extend such protections to Western captives they have taken.
