Some of these folks find it impossible to admit a mistake, any mistake.

I have been trying to figure out what's going on there. Sometimes I think it's insular true-believerism, sometimes I think it's a character or self esteem matter, and sometimes I think it is a conscious strategy--the "never apologize, never explain" approach to winning. It's fascinating. And unsettling.

McCain will just say "Country over Party"

Anyone of any party running for any office who said that would get my vote.
