Paul and all, what will be Intel's rival in 98 and afterward ? Along with the transition of socket 7 to slot 1, the .35 Micron to .25 transition will start in weeks. In 98, socket 7 won't disappear but will die slowly. Intel is already enjoying the notebook market and PC servers market alone. We have had seen rivals to challenge Intels position in 97. After 97, who will be the rivals to Intel ? TV ? SUNW ? or perphas Intel herself ? Would this thread going to be boring because once there is no more threats to Intel.... Your insights will be much appreciated. -Henry
