re: What I did say is that I do not see what the starting of a pre emptive war in Iraq and subsequent loss of lives and dollars has to do with the war on terrorism. And JF and I should not be the only ones on this thread questioning that logic.
These folk think that al Qaeda, which was responsible for 90% of terrorism over the last 10 years, and responsible for 9/11, was headquartered in Iraq.
If they still believe that, then they have their heads in the sand.
I frankly don't understand how people can think that shooting at the wrong target is the best strategy. We had them mostly in one place, at one time, and we decided to use the vast resources of our military... to go somewhere else.
They want to believe Bush at any cost......and its costing us plenty.
If people cared about real revenge for 9/11, and really cared about stopping terrorism, they would be incensed about the incompetence. Al Qaeda is terrorism, and al Qaeda grows stronger, the cancer spreads. And we are in the wrong country.
Tell me about it........if the White House were a public corporation, Rummy and Cheney would have been fired 6 months ago, and a shareholder revolt would have axed Bush within the past 60 days.
Who in the world would not have supported a massive, really massive action to take out bin Laden and al Qaeda? Why did they oppose the adventure in Iraq? That's right, they all hate America. They are jealous. I forgot.
Astounding! Its simple logic and yet it escapes so many. Meanwhile, after three years, bin Laden remains free and these people think Bush is doing a great job!
