We had a similar time in 1994 in the networking stocks. There was a prolonged period of skepticism about future growth and the stocks gave back 50%. I remember well because I took advantage of the decline to buy...Cabletron. Averaging into declines works well as long as you remember to average out on the way up. By the way, SOX closed today right at the 460 that was the focus of a lot of technical analysis a few weeks ago.
