we are seeing the birth of the same dynamic as applied to the US. The ME populace is holding us to a civilized standard of conduct whereas terrorists and thugs are being held to their own. Witness the muted response from the ME to the Berg decapitation, the joy expressed at the charred bodies hanging from the bridge, etc. Nu, you just noticed? The natural corollary to this development is expressed by the old rule, "Bad money drives out good". Those who support human rights will continue to do so - but not to the point of losing. To avoid losing they will do what they need to, instituting checkpoints, cordons, border fences, etc.
