Uranium Power Corporation: Core Drilling Underway; Pasquia Hills Project, Saskatchewan Uranium Power Corporation (OTC BB: URMP) A six core hole drilling program is underway as of today to retrieve four tons of ore grade oil shale from the Pasquia Hills mine site which contains a 4 billion barrel shale oil resource. This program will take approximately two weeks to complete and is part of the 2004 pre-feasibility study. The bulk sample will be frozen and stored in vapor proof bags to preserve the highly aromatic content of the contained oil. Approximately half of the sample will then be sent to Calgary for processing and analysis at the UMATAC's Alberta Taciuk Process pilot plant using its continuous feed facility. The remaining sample will be stored for additional evaluation. The test program is designed to reconfirm earlier batch test yields of up to 59% aromatic content of the shale oil as well as estimating processing costs. The Pasquia Hills Oil Shale Project covers 1 million acres of land located in Central Saskatchewan, Canada which includes the 50,000 acre mine site containing a resource of 4.3 billion barrels of shale oil. The aromatics which include Benzenes, Stryrenes and Napthalenes are a valuable petrochemical feedstock for the plastics industry and, after refining, have a potential value of $84 USD per barrel.
