Seeking adventure in Iraq and losing the head.

<<New Zealander in Iraq kept prisoner, incommunicado, for 3 months. He has now been released after some government contact from New Zealand when the family found out by their own means as to his whereabouts.>>

What was he doing in Iraq? If working he must have an employer or agent to follow up and fix the issue. If the US locked him up he must not have an employer or local collegues to back him.

What I suspect is that some young people seeking some adventure are going to Iraq and being captured. At least the NZ guy is coming back with his head on top of his shoulder.
