"The speech tonight was bizarre. It's like a parallel universe where things are going really well in Iraq except for a small handful of annoying individuals."

I noticed a lot of the language was the same. All the bad people were "terrorists". He doesn't get that some Iraqi's simply don't want the US there and are willing to fight for that ideal. Just because you want the US out does that make you a terrorist?

The retoric coming out of Iraq is interesting. A news report talking about the demolition of Abugarib prison reported that Saddam had "tortured" people there while US soldiers "abused" inmates. Maybe these "stress positions" do quite go as far as torture but I'm not sure I want to accept that idea based on the words used by the US military.

So much BS and spin coming out of Iraq. People are seeing through it and once trusted the President but now wonder. Its truly remarkable that Bush could squander all the 9/11 goodwill he had. The Iraqi people also see through all the BS and that is a big part of the problem as well.
