Here are your facts Doug:

1) Irrelevant.

2) Wrong.

3) No I'm not. Even if I were a Cadence employee, I seriously doubt I would feel threatened by a band of worthless, crooked SOBs.

4) The criminal investigation and charges against Avant executives are not petty hype and misinformation, they are easily verifiable facts. If you want to see some fine examples of petty hype, then check out the shrill press releases by Avant announcing contracts with mysteriously unnamed companies.

You're right about innocent until and unless proven guilty. It just so happens that there is the slight problem of overwhelming physical evidence and numerous reliable witnesses which seem to suggest a less than pleasant outcome in the criminal and civil cases for our favorite defendants. Oh...did I negelect to mention that Jerry "The Weasel" Hsu and his cohorts have taken the fifth?

You're also right about Avant being a shareholders company. Bre-X and Solv-ex are also owned by shareholders. I'm sure these shareholders were absolutely thrilled to have criminals managing their companies.

By the way, I'm trying to make up my mind what sort of gift I should send Jerry when he begins serving his sentence. Do you think he would prefer Vaseline or K-Y?
