It's always interesting to see this kind of gross misunderstanding.

Marxism is about class inequality, not gender, not race, not ethnicity. One of the major shortcomings of most of the variants of Marxism is their inability to deal with such. And the little addendum of "cultural Marxism" does not correct that. It addresses a different problem in Marxism which is the inexplicable ability of the culture to have some independence vis a vis the economic base.

Thus, the use of the term Marxism in that sentence is simply an attempt to use McCarthy techniques to slam his political opposition. But much too awkwardly done to have any effect.
