Biden was a screaming maniac on Hardball after the speech. He made like he hadnt read the text. Last night killed biden for me. And his call for internationalism misses the point that the european leaders wont lift a finger to help bush. This war will be decided on bushes watch even if that watch ends on January 20. And he will either succeed or fail without any major help from the UN or the europeans. America must win this war in the next 9 months and i know thats easier said than done. The only postitive thing i saw in bushes speech last night was his stressing of flexible solutoins by different commanders on the ground so fallujah deals can be worked out as well as deals with other militias who dont take to violence. WE can only hope that Bush will turn it around in iraq over the months he has left in Term #1 regardless whether it helps or hurts his reelection. Do you feel the same way about that last sentence John? mike
