I find it quite interesting that most folks on the left will rarely, if ever, stand up & repudiate the vile, slanderous & treacherous statements that many leading liberal politicians have made. This includes liberal politicians, liberal media & liberal Americans. Consistent silence is common, with far too many attempting to justify or openly agree with the repugnant remarks. When Republican politicians make outrageous & clearly inappropriate statements, other Republican politicians & conservative Americans willingly stand up & repudiate them, demand apologies & see to it appropriate punishment is dolled out, if warranted. And folks on the left honestly believe Republicans are dishonest, unfair & beneath contempt - a bunch of liars & crooks as Kerry called the Bush Admin.
