Uncle Ike, my forward thinking is this, the just settled UPS strike was a big win for Labor and will cause increased wage/benefit costs to the company.

I have read that many other labor unions see this win as an opportunity to jump on the strike bandwagon. Since the Reagan put the thumbs down on Labor in 1982 Air Traffic Controllers strike, Labor has been the poor stepchild. However, now that we have a booming economy and low unemployment (reverse of 1982) I think Labor wants to flex it's muscles big time. Labor Day Weekend starts August 29th and wouldn't be surprised if some Labor Unions weren't right now organizing some functions for that weekend.

This is something that we should watch carefully along with NAPM & PPI#'s
