Hello Yiwu,

The rumor is that Raymond's current vacation from SI is permanent. For sure though, he is currently suspended. Whether or not it's permanent could only be answered by the SI Admin.

Ray got suspended here:

Message 20136070

The talk on some of the other threads was that Raymond had some sort of an agreement with SI Admin as to which threads he would and would not post political rhetoric on, as to how he would address other posters (no threats, no name-calling, etcetera), no abusive language, no profanities or obscenities and so on. SI Admin has long since removed Raymond's offending post(s), but the implication is that Raymond failed to abide by whatever the terms of the agreement were.

On another thread, a different poster who apparently saw one or more of Raymond's deleted posts, insinuated an allegation that in the deleted post(s), apparently Raymond advocated the violent physical rape of a particular woman. Not having seen the offending post, I do not know if this woman is another SI poster, or a public figure, or perhaps someone in the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, maybe someone else...

In any event, Raymond's suspension wasn't merely a case of "the straw that broke the camel's back". It's more like the whole bale of hay, tossed very vigorously at said camel...
