[Conway-Siemens]
Hi Pat,
Sorry to confuse you. I wasn't throwing you a curve. You do a terrific job keeping things sorted. I had reference to the news posted below. It's no biggie, but since I've been trying to follow the Siemens-Newbridge-BC link.......
BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1997--
Siemens Stromberg-Carlson will feature flexible telecommunications solutions for voice, data, video and wireless applications at this year's SuperComm show, held June 3-5 in New Orleans. Visitors to booth No. 1849 will view the range of revenue-generating applications available today to help carriers differentiate their service offerings.
With solutions running the gamut from voice over the Internet to distance learning, automated service provisioning to ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) high-speed data access, ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) to AIN (Advanced Intelligent Network), Siemens Stromberg-Carlson will demonstrate solutions geared to optimizing revenues.
"Our customers reap the benefits of our turnkey solutions," said Paul Carroll, vice president of marketing at Siemens Stromberg-Carlson. "We not only sell the equipment, we can also provide consulting services and systems integration, offer support with applications development, and even assist with the promotion of new services. Whether carriers are new to the telecommunications market or long-time service providers, our goal is to help them capitalize on the opportunities in today's open market."
A range of solutions for narrowband, broadband, access, wireless, network management and the Internet will be demonstrated at the Siemens Stromberg-Carlson exhibit. Highlights include:
-- ADSL High-Speed Data Access
An interactive end-user application features ADSL technology to demonstrate the high-speed data access capabilities of Siemens' XpressLink D products. Visitors can see the exceptional speed and quality of video images transferred via ADSL technology for applications featuring electronic commerce and real-time delivery of MPEG-2 encoded video clips.
-- Interactive Distance Learning
Live DS3 links from a school in Conway, S.C., to the trade show floor give visitors a glimpse of the real-world MainStreetXpress broadband (ATM, Frame Relay and SMDS) solutions. This is a `live' application currently at work in the Horry County school district from service provider Horry Tel. Several times daily, students will interact with presenters on the show floor to illustrate how ATM technology makes distance learning both practical and effective. |
