mish, the basket works just like the dollar index. Instead of having one currency determine the value of your currency, you depend on several in some fixed proportion. The dollar would certainly be in the basket, as would the Euro and Yen. I suspect Swiss Franc, Bitish Commowealth currencies and Norwegian Krone would be in there. After that, I doubt you really want the Rand or the zloty.
