Fifty-six percent (56%) of Americans believe that the economy is getting worse. Over the past year, this level has been reached on just two other days (October 1, 2003 and August 24, 2003). Just 30% believe the economy is getting better.

Among Investors, 42% say the economy is getting better while 44% say it is getting worse.
