Given unscrupulous management, the ability to make money from a corporation is not limited to stated compensation, or the traditional expectation that they'll try to succeed: maximize shareholder value. Some have chosen to profit handsomely from the lower share prices, and their insider knowledge that the company's decline was a sure thing. Management's paycheque may not tell the whole story. You are normally quite careful in your choice of words, may I suggest you be less suggesting in this case. It can easily be interpreted as an insinuation of something more sinister, which I am sure is not your intent.
