Right... I have heard of that possibility, and consider it not only possible but probable. Dieing from a viral fever is not so awful. From what I can see it is similar to drug ODs that cause people to go into coma and die.

However, I suspect the terrorist cells are not even connected in any real way but have organized themselves in response to distant signals given by Al-Quaida et al and are just waiting to swing into action when the fire gets hot (when they can add to whatever else is happening to make the biggest impact). There is no way to detect them until they strike.

It makes prophesies of doom seem plausible as man caused rather than cataclysmic irrelevant Earth born events.
