Jess, based upon your background have you ever seen any studies done whereby the ease of movement in individual stocks was related to buy programs? For instance it is fairly easy to determine when a buy program should go off based upon the premium in the futures contract. I would think that to "arbitrage" that excess out of the contract the trader wouldn't buy just any stock since the effect of the buying might not create the desire impact on the cash portfolio which is used as the offset to the futures contract. I would be interested if any research was ever done on this, that is if I have made myself clear <bg>
