How can the Palestinians push the Israelis to the brink? Israel is the region's only superpower

I'm not saying that they can. But your saying they can win, or at least that they have a huge advantage from being the poor guy.

The Palestinians can win and they don't have to push the Israelis to the brink as you suggest. It will take a lot less for the Israelis to capitulate than the Palestinians.

Either they don't have a serious chance of winning (in which case it would seem the advantage is not so huge) or they do (in which case they would be capable of pushing the Israelis to the brink.

From what I remember, you describe the Israeli brink as being pushed out of the ME. It will take much less than that.

Palestinians do not have to push Israelis to the brink to get them to cry uncle.

They would have to be pushed to the brink to give up some of the concessions that you have called for in your posts.

Part of the reason why Sharon has stymied the peace talks is because of the demands of the settlers. They don't want to leave the occupied territories. Eventually, the majority of Israelis will realize that the settlements are not worth all the fighting and aggravation. That's why Sharon is trying to pull out of Gaza.........to appease the non Likud Israelis.

If Israel does not concede eventually to the demands of the Palestinians and there is no Palestinian state, then this hell will go on for decades.
