Maybe we should write Admin Dave and petition (request, beg, or plead) to have Ray Duray reinstated. If there is still any people's power left, maybe people's voice will be heard. I agree. Ray is really a very special person, the uncompromising mal-pensant, and we need people like that around here. There are the occasional vituperative Yahoo-like assholes who find their way to SI, and those should be banned, or tied to the mouths of cannon and blown to bits or whatever, but there was always an underlying strain of honesty and truth to Ray's rants. He was totally infuriating - I once posted something in agreement with him, and he still found a way to to come back with a put down. BRING BACK RAY!
