Maybe all Ray had to do was conform to the TOU of SI as per his agreement. He was given the opportunity several times (I understand) to come back and honour his TOU contract and he didn't. Even in a grade three class, their are conditions of conformity and civility that are necessary so that total anarchy does not reign supreme (read: everyone goes nuts in insulting, fingerpointing and shouting and screaming). Being a responsible parent is sometimes necessary so the whole mess doesn't degrade to a Jerry Springer episode. NOBODY should be allowed to post with impunity.
