Thanks for the invitation to use my imagination. Okay, I'll imagine that you were arguing in support of the idea that the fall of Communism was a bad thing for the US.

The "reasoning" likely being that Al Qaeda arose following the successful struggle against Communism in Afghanistan and the fall of the Soviet Union.

Of course, I would retort that back when the former USSR existed, there were nuclear missiles targeted at all of our cities ready to fly immediately whenever the order was given. And that is was an overwhelming good thing for us for that state of affairs to end...as it has.
