Per CNN: Cops say today's terror alert was a stunt.
The photos they put out the cops call "old news" and
that this was just a stunt to remind voters the government is doing something. This doesn't change any police alert level at all. That alert level is always fairly high.
Probably a Bush campaign distraction trick. A way to get bad news off the front page. A terrorist attack or fear thereof would help Bush. Cynical as it seems, Bushies will use this fear if they need to. So be aware.
