Kerry can only keep pushing Bush toward internationalizing...

I think for now that's about all he should say with regard to Iraq. As we move towards November he'll need to sharpen his message and show the American people that he will hit the ground running in January with a solid plan that we can all be proud of. It's pretty simple...all we need to do is help the Iraqis help themselves. We can't force them to be who they don't want to be. But we should make sure that the billions that we are spending over there go to Iraqis rebuilding Iraq. I got no use for Haliburton.

If the Iraqis were being benefited in Iraq, there would be no problem...but this administration has ignored the Iraqi people, while doling out the big contracts to American companies. Very little is trickling down to the people.

This have and have not society that has emerged in the aftermath of the major military operations is the perfect breeding ground for animosity and recruitment of insurgents and even terrorists.

It is an occupation, not a liberation anymore. And it's an arrogant occupation, where basic respect is not shared between the Americans and the Iraqis, as demonstrated at Abu Gharib.

And it's an occpation made all the more difficult by a lack of security due to an undermanned force, and a lack of internationalization, especially Arab nation participation.
