Pakistan distinguishes itself within the Arab and Islamic world to allow publications such as above; instead of ritualistic US condemnations that is everyday part of most of the Islamic and Arabic press we are taking the cause of educating the masses of our problems, we have always considered ourselves hampered by poverty, fiction of Jihad the baggage of 1400 years of ideological bigotry hijacked now by the extremists, it is our utmost responsibility within our nation to correct the problem highlighting problems that we all know and aware off is good and it is also good to keep condemning my country for every conceivable crime but the very reason that our press can be so free tells me we are on the bend. We realistically highlight the real issues. The fight that goes on everyday, the message we are sending out is positive that is most important, no countryman ever likes to be ruled by a cabal of military junta, we are born with chains around our necks those of ideology.
We see in this era post 911 first time in our history waft of free interactive dialogue, the laws that were embedded by the earlier dictators are now being challenged and probably shall be eradicated, it is disgraceful that we don’t have a full democracy but Islam has never proscribed democracy rather has forwarded the cause of strongman, we are rising from ashes, with our shortcomings that is how we read this situation and we are very proud to be on the mend, we have make mistakes the biggest was the Americans under Carter/ Brezenski in 1978 when they thought that ‘red’ USSR invasion in Afghanistan has to be repulsed by ‘green jihad.’ The whole army of green was created supported and financed by no one else but CIA once the work was done the entire paraphernalia was dropped, but the green jihad had its tentacles quite extended they wanted to remove Saudi regime with that of Osama regime and the story never stopped, but dumping of jihad efforts and creation of thousands of trained jihadis in the most notorious of global sanctuaries that is frontier was not at all considered as a national threat, the short termism of interest and instant gratification and associated peace dividend from efforts to dismantle USSR forgot completely that out their there are thousands of trained jihadis and these jihadis exactly are the one we need to confront in this day and age, to pin a single nation responsible is asinine, it was strategy that backfired the strategy to destroy the red danger of USSR with green turbans of jihadis, now these are the circumstances in nut shell that led to 911, now the world realises that sanctuaries cannot exist and hence the war on terror is helping to discover new booties every day.
Leave these people unchecked they will destroy the connectivity of the world, the problem that most don’t grasp is that the very reason that we live a far better prosperous life than our ancestors is that we have opened borders in the world, the very reason that US is a great economy is that it has global reach and has global consumption, with global imperialism overextend comes responsibility, and naturally the grudge of the smaller nations who failed to reach that level of global supremacy, the sum total of all these tearing forces is the confusion we see around but a clear and present mind would untangle the confusion and go for the jugular and that is we need to eradicate medievalism to exist at all levels of our societies, live and let live. |
