that was commendable of him, i hope that he was rewarded, i am sure he made that woman happy...

as for the morons that placed a diamond in the nose of a race car... i can't believe they were so dumb to do so and they deserve to lose it, i hope the person who found it will enjoy it the best way he/she can.

they had a second car with an equal diamond in it as well... poor Mark Webber (the other driver) suffered the fate of most Jaguar drivers....

the car broke down -g

re: Porsche... I am still waiting from a response from Porsche, I have been doing some research on the application of ceramic brakes on fast track conditions and it is not very favorable so far... I think Porsche screwed up making statements to the effect of using these brakes under fast track... at 135 mph [*NOT on a public road*] under hard braking, the car weaves like a snake... (this means the rear brakes bias is excessive and the wheels are locking up, causing the weaving) I know I have ABS and in theory 'locking up' is not possible... yeah well.... it is possible.

furthermore....

I had a long conversation with Steve, which went along those same lines as well... I am switching to oversized steel discs at 10% of the cost of PCCB's which will probably cure the weaving problem.

after a while you get used to it and you start braking even deeper into the corner, expecting the weaving and keeping the car under control... at first is a tad unsettling particularly when you go into the corner already sideways... -lol

[but it is a hell of a lot of fun]
