Your sense of humor is about as weird as mine.
Kerry did ask to go to vietnam. This is not what the average guy whose deferrment ran out would do. Also if i am not mistaken, at the time kerry enlisted you could still turn an undergrad deferment into a grad school deferment. I know because i did that in 1966. I wasnt allowed to enter a PhD program in 1968 when i got my Masters. Kerry's dates will determine if you are right but even if you are he still volunteered for service in Vietnam. By the way just so you know, i taught in Bedford Sty for two years and that deferment took me to the lottery which is the only thing i have ever won in my life. Mike
