"He (Gore) also demanded that Bush denounce Rush Limbaugh."
I just don't get it. I rarely listen to Rush. However, since the left rails against him so vehemently, I will put him on on those few times when I'm driving & Rush is on the air. I think I've listened to about 4 or 5 hours of his show so far this year (and that means I've heard about 3 hours of Rush after the commercials & news breaks are taken out), so I'm no expert on everything he says.
IMO, Rush does a decent job exposing Kerry's real weaknesses, he points out stuff about the liberal media & he discusses the crap that liberal politicians say, pretty much like we do here. He quotes liberals verbatim, compares their diatribes to what actually was said or what really occurred, then discusses why he has problems with them just like we do. And he discusses polls & studies to support his complaints about the liberal media, just like we do.
That's pretty much what I've heard when I listen. I can't recall Rush pushing an RWE agenda either. It's mostly exposing the foibles of the liberal left & the liberal media.
Yes, he's brash at times & has a big ego, but what is it about Rush that makes the left so adamant that he's an RWE & all the other allegations they make?
I know the easy out is to claim that we are mostly RWE's here too, but that is bunk. We may, as a group, lean right, but we are not a bunch of raving RWE's. |
