The fundamental neocon mistake is that they see flexibility or adaptation as a weakness
and probably as a prelude to compromising on their fundamentalist religion.
So they are unyeilding on every position.
Even as the situations change around them.

- The only sign I have seen of modifying the Iraqi plan from it's original PNAC design was in Falluja. I suspect that that change, along with the public spanking of Chalabi was forced by senior military officers who were just one more "bring them on" from publicly calling their commander in chief an idiot.
