I couldn't find a thread for SMDI on SI, so I decided to open one up myself. I have been looking into the company for a while and it appears (to me) that there is some potential for the stock to rise from the current price. Forward PE for 2005, based on the current analysts' estimates is about 17. They lost money last year and look to be on track to post a gain in 2004. If the estimates for the stock are in the ballpark, they should grow eps over 100% from 2004 to 2005.

This is a very speculative stock and I'm sure it's not for everyone's portfolio. For the record, I have traded it many times in the past and I have recently gone long while the stock was below $3.80. The very short term chart is encouraging but the long term trend is down.

All comments on SMDI, pro and con, fundamental or technical, are welcome.
