OK let me try it this way to get my point across. When we deliver a message, it is not the pronunciation or the accent that matters. It is the command that a person portrays to have of the situation. And fumbling on a specific word 3 to 4 times in the same sentence and then pronouncing it differently in another sentence and then again differently in another does not portray that he is in command of the situation and is the leader.

So Bush does not appear to be in command of any situation here. After all he is our President and is the first citizen of this country. If he is not in command, if he has failed to portray his vision for our country, what good is he? I am not expecting him to know the details. Put him against Reagan and tell me if you think he is anywhere near Reagan's performance. When Reagan spoke to the nation, everybody felt good. He could articulate a vision, exhibit command of any situation etc. Not Bush. And the modern day Reagan is Arnold Schwarznegger, even though I did not vote for him. But today, I am ready to vote for him should he rerun as Governor of California or even US President if the law allowed him to do so.

I hope this is not what you would consider a flip-flop on my part, would you? If you do then tough luck since I, like anyone else including Kerry, reserve the right to change my views and opinions in keeping with the needs and aspirations of the times.
