"So, you want to make the world safe by killing everyone who may at some point in the future support terrorism"
You have a particularly irritating habit of assigning positions to other people. Strange. This is the 3rd thing you have said that is my position without me ever saying it. And Saddam was supporting terrorism (so your wrong twice with one sentence). There just is no direct evidence he was involved in 9-11, which of course nobody of consequence has even said. The only thing that is clear, is that you support(ed) Saddam Hussein. He was a criminal inviolation of the terms of his surrender, and now he is gone to the benefit of all in the world except his followers, which were thugs for the most part.
"you keep saying, "what if," "
I don't really care that you don't think that looking at potential dangers is important. Very clearly spelled out why the Bush carried out the Clintongore policy of regime change in Iraq. If you are not sure why we took him out, ask some specific questions and I can clear it up for you.
"is unlikely to happen happens"
It is not unlikely that terrorists would strike the U.S. again (you do know that 9-11 happened before the invasion, right?). And it is not unlikely that Saddam would help them. He helped suicide bombers families, so there is a precedent. And where your friend Saddam had a problem was that he was in violation of the surrender agreement. We (and the U.N.) said he had WMDs, had to get rid of them, and prove that he did. He said eff u. We said, that's enogh, you are gone. Pretty simple. Sorry your friend is gone.
"and decide who to kill based on your powers of prognostication"
Saddam had the power to stop it, and chose not to.
"Millions knew that Saddam wasn't a threat"
How do you KNOW this? Answer. You did not. He's not now though.
"Did Jesus tell you to say that?"
No. But this makes it look like you hate religious people too. Why support terrorist religious fanatics that want YOU dead? Puzzling. |
